A brief absence

I'm going to be gone for the next few days, so I won't be blogging. In the meantime, feel free to talk amongst yourselves.

Recommended topics:

  • What's the best book you've read so far this year?
  • What do you like best about Dave?
  • Who is the most overrated author?
  • Why is Dave better than other critics?
  • Why is there a writers conference in Chicago in the dead of winter?
  • Etc.

Dave is so handsome and has a great smile. He is the sheer definition of the word "awesome."

Oh, we're not talking about Dave White.

Well, Dave Montgomery liked my book.

So that's pretty cool.

See you in Chicago, Dave!

I'm keeping a running list over on my blog so that's an easy question for me.
DIRTY WEEKEND by Gabrielle Lord, which I have given my highest rating to

How can you help liking a man who likes your book?
This year, Dave Montgomery is my favorite.

He's also the sort of guy who is as approachable as your best friend.

What do I like best about Dave? Oh, let me count the ways.

Why is Dave better than other critics? Because he likes my books and isn't afraid to say so. :)

Best new book? The Android's Dream, John Scalzi.
Best reprint? A Kiss Before Dying, Ira Levin. Should be on a lot more top-ten lists.

He answered my email and he must get thousands. And it was funny!

Sakey, Marcus The City's Edge and C. J. Box's Blue Heaven

I just met you at Love Is Murder, and you're a nasty, weird man.

I'm a little pathetic, huh.... Can we count that as another reason that I'm lovable?

I'm going with that.

I have Scalzi's The Android's Dream (I think) and hope to get around to reading it one of these days.

As for Best Book read this year so far... I've actually read several that would be in contention, but I really liked Sins of the Assassin by Robert Ferrigno.

The best book I read this far this year is The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen. I really loved this book. I gotten into the characters where you root for the good guy and are shocked when the murderer is revealed.

Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson

These two debuts are stunning
