David, do you do anything outside crime fiction?

I just read an ARC of a fantastic book called CATCHING GENIUS, by Kristy Kiernan. It was wonderful, out from Berkley March 6.
Here's a link to her site:

I rarely read outside the crime fiction genre (my failing, I know), but I was stunned by the sophistication in the writing. Hard to believe it's a debut, really.

Well, you know I have to give it up for my Killer Year brothers and sisters:

Sandra Ruttan - SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES (Jan 6)
Sean Chercover - BIG CITY, BAD BLOOD (Jan 9)
Robert Gregory Browne - KISS HER GOODBYE (Feb 6)
Patry Francis - THE LIAR'S DIARY (February)
Marc Lecard - VINNIE'S HEAD (March)
Gregg Olsen - A WICKED SNOW (March)

Funny, but I knew about those books already. :)

I do read non-crime fiction, and I could review it in theory, but not for my Sun-Times column. (It covers crime fiction only.)

David, I have to second JT's sugestion. CATCHING GENIUS is a phenomenal book.
