Brett Battles’ first novel introduces one of the most interesting new protagonists in the thriller genre. Quinn, a covert operative who specializes in making problems go away, has the potential to make this series a long and successful one. With a blazing first half, interesting characters and solid prose, The Cleaner is an entertaining and effective spy novel that heralds good things for Battles' career.

THE CLEANER is a great read!

I don't know, I've heard sketchy things about this Battles character. But if it's a good book it's a good book. I just don't want to meet him in a dark alley.

I agree. I especially loved the scenes in Vietnam. Hollywood will probably go nuts over John Quinn, don't you think?

I definitely concur! I loved everything about the book, especially the humanity of the characters, and the twist at the end! GREAT twist!
