My latest review in the Chicago Sun-Times is of The Chopin Manuscript, the audio-only serial novel put together by ITW and featuring a slew of top thriller writers.
It's an interesting idea, but it didn't really work for me.

I've been thinking about ordering it, but the premise makes me think, "You're kidding, right?"
If they pull it off, cool. Many of those authors are my favorite, so I'm going to try it, but not until after Nov. 11 when I can hear the whole thing. I'm not into the once-a-week delivery, LOL.

I like audiobooks. They are particularly good in traffic during rush hour. But there are a few that were ruined for me by poor readings.
In this case, I assume the authors involved had some fun with the project -- which has got to be at least a little bit tongue-in-cheek. I found your comments very helpful because I'm working on a thriller myself at the moment and hope to avoid such pitfalls.
