David J. Montgomery is the thriller/mystery critic for The Daily Beast and the Chicago Sun-Times. He has written about authors and books for several of the country's largest newspapers, including the Washington Post, USA Today and Boston Globe.
He lives in the Washington, D.C. suburbs with his wife and daughters.
Dave is so handsome and has a great smile. He is the sheer definition of the word "awesome."
Oh, we're not talking about Dave White.
Well, Dave Montgomery liked my book.
So that's pretty cool.

Best new book? The Android's Dream, John Scalzi.
Best reprint? A Kiss Before Dying, Ira Levin. Should be on a lot more top-ten lists.

As for Best Book read this year so far... I've actually read several that would be in contention, but I really liked Sins of the Assassin by Robert Ferrigno.

The best book I read this far this year is The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen. I really loved this book. I gotten into the characters where you root for the good guy and are shocked when the murderer is revealed.
