Thanks for this post, David. I read the Times review and it got me wondering how David felt about his man coming back after all these years. Interesting.

Glad I didn't place bets on how DM would feel. I'm glad for him.

Thank you for the article. it is great to hear DM's perspective on the latest Rambo movie. I like his quote about Rambo standing in the rain to cleanse his soul. By the way do check out an interesting new book called "RAMBO CODE: Your Survival Guide" which talks about Rambo motivation. In my knowledge this is the first book that analyzes the words of Rambo, to find his inner pyschology and strangth, and to adapt those lessons in life to become unstoppable.
The reason why Rambo had such a big impact on movie audiences around the world is because it speaks about the indomitable spirit of man - the survival instinct we are born with to help us get ahead in life. it is our primal instinct to survive. And Rambo being in touch with that uncivilised part in our subconscious mind was able to release the animal fury, which is in the flip side of our being. There is some truth in the character that appeals to our being, that makes it so powerful and poignant. Study the Rambo philosophy at www.rambocode.com

Have you ever read any works from Dashiell Hammett? If so, what do you think of him as a person and as a writer ?

Dogs are noble animals. There are some breeds that are excellent in the care home and better yet, in the care of children.

The dog quickly became ubiquitous across world cultures, and was extremely valuable to early human settlements. For instance, it is believed that the successful emigration across the Bering Strait might not have been possible without sled dogs. Dogs perform many roles for people, such as hunting, herding, protection, assisting police and military, companionship, and, more recently, aiding handicapped individuals. This versatility, more than almost any other known animal, has given them the nickname "Man's best friend" in the western world. Currently, there are estimated to be 400 million dogs in the world
