Charlie Stella writes:
I was writing about twenty plus years, off and on, going from playwriting to fiction, and back and forth, until I was finally lucky. I had some plays produced off-off Broadway fifteen years or so before my first novel, but I had come fairly close with two novels about eight years before Eddie's World. I had stopped writing for several years after coming close, and then picked it up again maybe three months (the time it took to write Eddie's World) before I found an agent. He sold EW a few months later.
Charlie Stella is the author of several Off-Broadway plays, in addition to four outstanding crime novels, the latest of which is Cheapskates.
