David:
I don't mean to make light of your predicament, but for those of us who must go through major monetary shifts in order to finance the purchase of a newly released hardcover, your daily pile of ARCs and new releases seems a bit...ahh...enviable.

You do realize that you've got doubles there, so it looks like more, right? :)

I had to enlarge the photo to look at the titles!

What in the world do you do with all those books, LOL?

David J. Montgomery

It truly is a happy predicament (if I can even use that word). All the free books is one of the best reasons to be a reviewer.

Sarah

How did you end up with two copies of the Gibson book and I got none?

Tim Maleeny

David, how fast do you read? A typical mystery takes you how long to finish? (Since it takes most of us writers at least a year to finish writing one, I suspect your answer is going to depress me, but thank goodness you're out there.)

Tasha Alexander

David, I wholly understand the problem of storing books, but I still wish someone would send me great heaps of them on a daily basis....

; )

David J. Montgomery

Some people I know read much faster than I do (Hi Sarah! Don't ask me to explain how publishers work. You know I can't.), but I only read middling-fast. So I try to read 3 books per week. Occasionally I manage a little more than that. But that's what I shoot for.

Hi David -

I also get a lot of books -not just for reviewing, but also for judging, as well as manuscripts.

It is bitter-sweet as I try and read 2-4 a week, and as much as I love seeing what's new, and I just love books, but I feel stressed as I always have more books than time -plus I buy loads of books also!
